India’s leading Smartphone manufacturer Micromax Informatics is going to launch the cheapest 4G VoLTE phone in India. Micromax Bharat 1 is going to be Micromax’s first 4G VoLTE feature phone and will run on a Java-based OS. It will be priced at Rs 1,999.
About a week ago, in a recent interview, Micromax Chief Marketing Officer, Shubajit Sen said, “Bharat 1 will hit the market in the next four weeks. The major highlight of the feature phone is the 4G VoLTE support, making it the company’s cheapest VoLTE-enabled feature phone. Although, there is not much information available at the moment, but the device will run on a Java-based operating system. Because of some of the operators giving free voice calls over 4G VoLTE, we’re seeing a spike in the demand for 4G VoLTE feature phones.”
